to Legacy Polling.
We accept zero corporate money and zero special interest funding to ensure our data pipeline remains completely untainted. Your donation directly fuels the secure server capacity, bot-verification protocols, and infrastructure required to keep modern democracy transparent. Stand up, be counted, and help us scale the new standard for accountability.
1600 Penn is strictly nonpartisan — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents all grade the same stories on the same scale every day. But the truth about accountability is this: opposition criticism is expected. What actually moves the needle is when the people who voted for someone hold them to the standard they were elected to meet. If something doesn't sit right with you, your honest B, C, or F carries more weight than any protest ever could.
This only works if the grading is fair. Blanket F's from one side and straight A's from the other cancel each other out and tell Washington nothing. The power of 1600 Penn is in the honest middle — the American who gives an A when it's deserved and an F when it isn't. Grade fairly. Grade consistently. That's how this becomes something the President actually has to reckon with.

HOME
A live counter shows how many Americans are grading the President right now, alongside a real-time countdown to the end of the term. Tap into the mission, support the movement, or learn about the 47th President — all from one screen. When you're ready, one button starts your daily grade.

MISSION
When Gallup stopped its daily presidential tracking, Americans lost their most consistent measure of how the country felt about its leader — so we created 1600 Penn to fill that void and go further. This screen walks you through exactly how the app works, why it matters, and what happens to your grade after you submit it. The mission is simple: make every voice count, every single day.

GRADE
The Wire serves up breaking presidential news stories, official Executive Orders straight from the Federal Register, and a weekly pulse poll — giving you a full picture of what the administration is doing and the power to respond to all of it. Every story and order can be graded A through F across Economy, Leadership, and Policy, so your assessment goes beyond a single headline. This is the most comprehensive daily presidential grading system ever built into a mobile app.

HISTORY
Your Grade. Your Record. Your Accountability.
Every grade you've ever submitted lives here in chronological order — a permanent track record of your civic engagement and proof that you showed up. See how your individual grades compared to the national average on each story, track your submission streak, and know that every entry in this list was included in the official report delivered to @POTUS and @WhiteHouse that morning.

DASHBOARD
The National Scorecard — Broken Down By Who's Grading.
The Dashboard shows you how Americans are grading the President over time, sliced by political affiliation, age group, region, and more — so you can see exactly where the consensus is forming and where the country is divided. Track whether your grades align with your demographic, see how your state compares to the national average, and watch sentiment shift in real time as major decisions unfold. This is the data that turns individual opinions into a movement.

PROFILE
From Citizen to Watchdog. This Is Your Journey.
Your Profile tracks your progression from first-time grader to verified civic watchdog — showing your grading streak, your demographic context, and your verified status that confirms your voice is real and counted. The more consistently you grade, the more weight your record carries in the national aggregate. This is your permanent seat at the table.

Your Morning Ritual
Just Got a Civic Purpose.
While you're sipping your coffee, your grade is being combined with thousands of other Americans and formatted into an official performance report posted directly to @POTUS, and @WhiteHouse on X — every day. This isn't a poll that sits in a database or a vote that happens once every election cycle. Your grade from this morning will be in front of the most powerful office in the world before lunch.

The Next Generation Is Done
Waiting to Be Heard.
For the first time ever, a mobile app puts every American on equal footing. Supporting 1600 Penn keeps the app free, independent, and accountable to no one but the citizens who use it. This isn't a donation to a cause — it's an investment in the infrastructure that makes daily democracy possible.
01
88 Years
Gallup measured presidential approval continuously from Harry Truman through Biden — the longest running accountability metric in American political history. For nearly a century, it was the gold standard for understanding how the country felt about its leader.
02
1,500 Americans, Daily
At peak operation, Gallup surveyed 1,500 citizens every single day to produce its presidential approval number. When that stopped, so did the daily national pulse — and no institution, government body, or technology platform stepped in to replace it.
03
Zero Replacements
When Gallup ended daily tracking, nothing took its place. No app. No platform. No daily score. For the first time in nearly a century, the President had no consistent public accountability metric watching every move — at precisely the moment in history when one was needed most.
Until now.

Built Out of Frustration.
Fueled by Principle.
Like millions of Americans, I voted and still found myself scrolling through social media posts from the President feeling frustrated, unheard, and unsure what to do about it.
Around that same time, Gallup announced they were suspending their 88-year run of presidential approval tracking — and it struck me that the polls they were retiring only ever sampled a few thousand people anyway, hardly representative of a nation of 330 million navigating one of the most turbulent and unconventional administrations in modern history.
So I built 1600 Penn — using AI to move fast and build something that could replace what Gallup left behind, but go further: a platform where every American, regardless of party, could log their grade daily and create a record of accountability that the President couldn't ignore.
The goal has always been simple — when history looks back at any administration, the people's verdict should already be on record.
