88 Years, Now Gone

Gallup measured presidential approval continuously from Harry Truman through Biden — the longest running accountability metric in American political history. For nearly a century, it was the gold standard for understanding how the country felt about its leader.

1,500 Americans, Daily

At peak operation, Gallup surveyed 1,500 citizens every single day to produce its presidential approval number. When that stopped, so did the daily national pulse — and no institution, government body, or technology platform stepped in to replace it.

Zero Replacements

When Gallup ended daily tracking, nothing took its place. No app. No platform. No daily score. For the first time in nearly a century, the President had no consistent public accountability metric watching every move — at precisely the moment in history when one was needed most.

Until now.

HOME

Where it starts. One tap and you're grading — no account, no signup, no cost.

Gallup tracked presidential approval for 88 years, then quit.

1600 Penn is how the people took the report card back.

MISSION

Gallup polled the President for 88 years, then went dark.

1600 Penn is the citizen-run replacement — no corporate filter, no sampling bias, every American's grade counted equally, posted straight to the people in power.

Read the mission. Then grade.

GRADE

Three ways to grade, every day. News — grade real presidential stories as they break. Orders — grade every executive order since Inauguration Day. Poll — answer the weekly citizen question. Tap A through F. Done.

DASHBOARD

The national report card, live.

The President's average grade, how you stack up against your city, state, and country, plus your streak and milestones.

The number Gallup used to give you — now the people give it.

TAG REPS

Make them pay attention.

Flip your senators on and they're tagged by name in the daily report card that posts to X — so your grade lands right in their mentions.

SUPPORT

Free forever, beholden to no one.

No ads, no corporate money, no party. 1600 Penn runs on voluntary citizen support — never required, and it unlocks nothing.

Everyone gets the whole app, free.

Grade fairly. That's the whole point.

Nonpartisan by design — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents grade the same stories on the same scale, every day.

Opposition is expected; real accountability is rarer. The needle moves when you hold the side you voted for to the standard they were elected to meet.

Blanket F's from one side and straight A's from the other cancel out and tell Washington nothing. The power is in the honest middle — an A when it's earned, an F when it isn't.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

I'm not a pollster. I'm not a politician. I'm a filmmaker.

I grew up in Illinois, went to film school in LA, and spent most of my career telling stories for a living. Then came a season of reinvention — and it led somewhere I never saw coming: building software with AI, one idea at a time.

Then I heard the news. In February of 2026, Gallup ended the presidential approval poll it had run for 88 years — since the days of FDR. The most trusted scorecard on the most powerful person in the country just went dark. No replacement. No outrage. And it hit me: everyday Americans had lost their one honest way to say "here's how you're doing" — and have it count.

So I built the replacement.

1600 Penn is what happens when a storyteller picks up new tools and points them at something that matters. Every day, citizens grade the President — Democrat, Republican, and Independent, all on the same scale — and those grades go straight to @POTUS and @WhiteHouse on X. No corporate filter. No sampling. No spin. Just the people.

My hope is simple: I want every American — no matter who they voted for — to wake up knowing their honest grade landed on the desk of the most powerful person in the world. That's accountability you can feel. And it will always be free.
